Joy FM’s Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah speaks to former UN Secretary-General and Chair of the Africa Progress Panel at the World Economic Forum, Kofi Annan on how Africa must position itself to against the bite of the global economic downturn.

The meeting dubbed the World Economic Forum on Africa in Cape Town is dominated by the recession on the continent.

One of the key events on the program is the release of the African progress report which will offer solutions on how a united African leadership can address challenges to the continent’s continuous development.

Mr Kofi Annan believes Africa needs reliable partners to be able to contain the impact of the crisis.
