The headmistress of the Victory Senior High School in Kumasi, Madam Jennifer Kwakye, has been sacked.

School authorities dismissed her after investigations confirmed media reports she had engaged female students in prostitution.

Madam Kwakye has however denied the allegations.

On June 21 some of the students reported the headmistress’ conduct to the police.

The headmaster of the school, Kofi Kyei, says the housemistress aided one of the female students to scale the school wall and pass the night with a man believed to be her brother.

The headmaster however maintains only two girls, both aged 17, have been used in the act and not 30 as earlier reported.

Two of the girls testified against the housemistress before the school’s disciplinary committee.
