Mr Isaac Opare-Addo, Convention People’s Party (CPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Aburi-Nsawam, says when given the nod he will utilize the serene “Aburi Weather” to earn foreign exchange for the country.

He said the Aburi weather was similar to what pertained abroad and for that matter he would build a sports village, to be used in camping sports men and women going on international assignments.

Speaking to the GNA in Koforidua, Mr Opare-Addo said the current practice where sports men were camped outside the country for acclimatization purposes would be a thing of the past.

He said apart from saving the scarce foreign exchange of the country, the facility would also help to create jobs for the people.

Mr Opare-Addo expressed worry about the collapse of the ASTEK industry at Nsawam, which used to add value to the products of the local farmers and said when elected as the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, he would source for funds to revamp it.

He was not happy about the poor state of roads in the area, especially Nsawam-Pakro, Aburi-Adamrobe and said they would be his priority when elected.

Mr Opare-Addo therefore appealed to the electorate to give him the mandate to be able to implement his good policies aimed at alleviating the plight of the people.

He appealed to fellow politicians to go about their campaigns in a manner that would help promote peace in the country, during and after the December general elections.
