Hip-life artiste Ayigbe Edem has denied a theft allegation against him which appeared in a P&P publication.

Ayigbe Edem was reported in the People and Places newspaper (P&P) to have stolen the mobile phone belonging to Confidence, owner of Aphrodisiac Nite Club. The phone is purported to be worth Fourteen Thousand Dollars.

The incident, the paper says took place some months ago when the two went to the Central Region to perform at the ‘Aboakyere’ festival.

Reacting to the allegation in an interview with Myjoyonline.com Ayigbe Edem's management said, “we will hold a press conference to let Edem's fans know the truth of the issue. Apart from that no further comment.”

The press conference he says will take place on Friday at either the Accra Mall or the Ghana International Press Centre.

Confidence has also refused to comment on the claims when Myjoyonline.com called her, maintaining the issue is "a private matter and I want it to remain as such.”
