The winner of the Best Gospel Act 2009 at the recently held Black Entertainment, Film, Fashion, Television and Arts (BEFFTA) awards in the United Kingdom, Sonnie Badu, will be performing live in Ghana on November 7 to the delight of his teeming fans and gospel enthusiast across the country.

Born in the U.K and raised in Ghana, Sonnie is putting the name of Ghana on the musical map all over the world. His ministry is gaining grounds at a pace that can only be described by many as divine.

His recently released debut album, “Lost in His Glory”, has already sold over 10,000 copies in the UK alone and rapidly gaining grounds all over the world. Sonnie is noted to have staged concerts around the world alongside famous gospel stars such as Alvin Slaughter, Ron Kenoly and Donnie McClurkin.

On Saturday November 7, Sonnie will be staging one of his many successful concerts in Ghana at the National theatre together with other renowned local artiste such as Joe Beechem, Kwaku Gyasi, Celestine Donkor and many more.

The show is under the tutelage of Orange Africa, an events management company.

According to the Managing Partner of Orange Africa, Emma Twum, ‘Sonnie’s arrival in Ghana will usher a new wave of praise and worship in the country.

“I am thrilled that one of the best singers and worshippers of our time will be sharing the joy of the ministry with Ghanaians especially at this time. This is one of the main reasons why the tickets for the show are being sold at affordable rates to enable everyone witness this remarkable event,” Emma said.

Beyond his ministration and singing, Sonnie, popularly known as the man with the ‘Golden Voice’ has lent his support to many charity organisations besides establishing a record company to support and promote gospel Artists.

He has also expanded his cultural borders to celebrate the diversity of African dialects, ministering in both his native languages Twi and Ga and incorporating a host of other African dialects to his native ministry.
