A new music sensation, Cta Kamani is readying to put a new lease of life into the Ghanaian music scene.
With her dancehall style in an upcoming album, she says she hopes to bask in the lime light of Ghanaian music.
Born Isabelle Fleischer, Cta Kamani in an interview with Myjoyonline.com said she took her music name from her favourite music idol Sizzla Kalongi thus, the name Cta (for Sizzla) and Kamani (for Kalongi).
She has been into music for close to eight years now but yet to infect the Ghanaian music scene with her own solo album.
Cta is treading in a music field which is not deeply rooted in the Ghanaian music scene. Unlike hiplife, gospel and highlife which have a strong following, she hopes to successfully penetrate the Ghanaian music scene with her dancehall music and she says she will do that by making her music appealing.
“I consider my style to be unique and my success will depend on how I will present my music and that will help me sell.”
She explained that, she is into dancehall because, “I love to do it. That is my style and I am born with it” and she draws her inspiration from international artistes Sizzla and Queen Africa who inspire her a lot with their music and lyrics.

Cta Kamani had her first major breakthrough when she appeared on ‘Prime I show’, a free style program on Radio Gold. Black Rasta heard her on the show and later called her to feature on ‘Abena’, a track on his third album. She later went on to feature on various tracks of upcoming artistes.
She is on Kwabena Kwabena’s Bibinii album, one she describes as a tale of sheer excellence.
“Kwabena Kwabena came to the Kaywa’s studio to record the remix of Bibinii and Kaywa (my manager to be), recommended me to kwabena Kwabena to feature on it. I met him the same day, wrote my lyrics the same day and recorded the same day,” she said.
She has also worked with Screw Face (on his ‘Black Power’ track) and Mimi’s ‘Leave me alone’ remix.
Cta Kamani is now getting ready to make a major statement to the Ghanaian music community. She is busy in the studio working on her solo album.
The album which will be released early next year is titled ‘Rain Forever’ and it has 13 tracks with songs like ‘Empress’, ‘Absolute corrupt’, and ‘Love comes ’amongst others.
But before that, she will make her presence known with the release of a single ‘Beautiful Lady’ this December.
She says she wants to use her music to impact positive messages to society, “I want to use my music to empower the youth, create awareness on societal issues like the dangers of prostitution and also to talk about love,” she said.
Cta Kamani is the third born of Mr Joubert Fleischer and Mrs Alice Fleischer. She hopes to work with international artistes Sizzla and Tanya Stevens and local artistes Mugeez of R2Bees and Samini someday.
