The Institute of Public Relations (IPR) has elected Mrs. Vickey Wireko-Andoh, a former corporate relations manager of Unilever, Ghana, as its new president.

The institute also elected Major Albert Don-Chebe (Rtd), Head of Corporate Communication and Customer Care or Ghana Telecom, as vice president.

A statement issued by IPR on Monday said a new executive was elected at the 16th Annual General Meeting on November 6.

Mrs. Wireko-Andoh, who was vice president between 2006 and 2008, replaces Mr. Kojo Yankah, who was president since 2002.

Other members of the new executive board are Mr. E. Essilfie Conduah (Honorary Secretary), Adwoa Boatemaa Sono (Honorary Vice Secretary) and Mrs. Sylvia Annoh (Treasurer).

“I am because you are,” the statement quoted the new president as saying after her election.
