Madam Grace Obeng-Donkor, Nkoranza North District Chief Executive, has presented GH¢ 200, two half pieces of wax print and a bundle of roofing sheets to a fire disaster victim at Bomini in the District.

The thatched house and personal belongings of Madam Amma Adubea, a farmer were recently destroyed by fire.

Making the presentation, Madam Obeng-Donkor expressed concern about the alarming rate of fire outbreaks in the District and cautioned the people against handling naked fires.

She reminded the people about the impending Harmattan and advised assembly members as well as unit committee members to organise the people to prepare fire belts around their communities.

Madam Obeng-Donkor called on the local anti-bushfire volunteers to be ready and help prevent bushfires in the communities.

Nana Baffo Korkor III, Chief of Bomini, commended her for the gesture to assist the victim.

He appealed to the assembly to assist in the re-organisation of anti-bushfire campaign teams in the area.

Madam Adubea said she lost clothing, two sewing machines and some household utensils during the fire outbreak and expressed appreciation to the assembly for the assistance.

Meanwhile, Mr Benson Boadum Acheampong, Nkoranza North District Coordinator of National Disaster Management Organisation has visited and donated some second hand clothing to Madam Adubea.
