The Eastern Regional Elections Security Task Force (ERESTF), on Monday ended a two-day stimulation exercise at Koforidua.

The mock exercise, which was to test the security alertness of the security services in handling election related challenges, involved all the security services in the region and personnel of the First Infantry Brigade of Micheal Camp.

Briefing the press on the outcome of the exercise, the Eastern Regional Chairman of the ERESTF, Mr George Anko-Bil, who is also the Regional Police Commander, said the exercise was very successful.

He said what came out was that the security service would need more vehicles for the patrol team. He said fortunately five new vehicles had been released to the regional police command and he expressed the hope that more would come before the elections.

Mr Anko-Bil appealed to the media to help in educating the public on the need for ensuring peaceful elections.
