Three suspected armed robbers have been picked up on Friday after a bag full of money was snatched at gun point at the Christian Village, close to Achimota in Accra, Police have confirmed.

The money was about to be transferred from a bank into a bullion van when gun men ridding motor bikes, popped up and disarmed the lone police man accompanying the bullion and bolted with the money in a Toyota pick-up.

Acting Director of Operations at the Police Head Quarters, Boi Bi Boi told Joy News three men are in police custody in relation to the incident.

They were arrested in a house upon a tip off after they had abandoned their motor bikes at a distance.
