Asafo Adjei Stars win SIC Games

Asafo Adjei Stars collected 34 points, to win this year’s State Insurance Company of Ghana Limited (SIC) Fun Games held at the
El-Wak Stadium in Accra on Saturday.

They were followed in the second position by Osei Duah Stars with 24 points while Soadzedey Stars took the third position with 19 points.

The three teams competed in soccer, volleyball, Sack Race, Tug-of-Peace and athletics.

In the soccer event, Soadzedey Stars walloped Osei Duah Stars 5-1 in the opening match and lost 0-1 to Asafo Adjei Stars in the second match while Asafo Adjei Stars also defeated Soadzedey Stars 5-1 in the third match.

The Tug-of-Peace competition saw Soadzedey Stars beating Asafo Adjei Stars 2-0 and Osei Duah Stars 2-1 with Asafo Adjei Stars beating Osei duah Stars 2-0

Madam Catherine Shika Mc Ahibie, Chief Clerk of SIC said the event was aimed at strengthening the already existing cordial relationship among the workers and also exercising the body and reducing the stress.

She praised the participants for the sportsmanship exhibited throughout the games and expressed the hope that they would improve upon, their performances next year.
