Heart of Lions midfielder Edmund Owusu Ansah is reported to have sealed a deal with Egyptian Premier League, Petrojet for the next football season.

A source close to the player told GNA Sports on Monday that Ansah left Accra for Cairo last Sunday to finalize his transfer to the North African side.

According to the source, the player is expected to pass a medical before appending his signature to the deal reportedly worth over 400,000 US dollars.

The 23-year old is expected to pen a three year contract should he pass the medicals.

With just a match to end the Egyptian Premier League, Ansah will join the Egypt Petrol owned Company club next season.

The source added that officials of Petrojet have been monitoring the exploits of the hardworking midfielder for some time now and thus shown an interest in his services.

Ansah, whose contract with the Kpando-based club ends at the end of the season will join former Kotoko striker Eric Bekoe and Kofi Bekoe as the Ghanaian trio at the Cairo-based Club.

He is expected back on Tuesday, May 19 after the trails.

He led the local Black Stars to win silver at the maiden edition of the African Nations Championship in Cote d’Ivoire last March.
