Sporting Mirren's experienced coach E K Afranie has admitted time is running out on newly-promoted side to survive the drop with four matches to end the season.

Afranie took charge of the team after 10 league matches and has failed to keep their heads afloat.

Mirren face an arduous task of winning all remaining matches and hope other results go their way to stay up.

"It is a pity. How can such a team be relegated, I wasn't with them initially-They had played 10 matches- if I had been with them initially maybe we would be up," Afranie told Ghanasoccernet.com

"It's not ended. We hope that the four matches we can win and pray for luck. I'm confident but it's faint."
