Government has appointed a transaction advisor to help take a decision on the future of the national carrier, Ghana International Airlines.

The carrier has never come out of its predicament right from the day it was formed.

In recent times, the management called on government for some funds to sustain and improve on its operations.

However cabinet has decided to rather seek expert advice on what to do with GIA.

Speaking to Joy News, Transport Minister Mike Hammah expressed optimism GIA would soon recover from its challenges.

“Once that is done cabinet will come out with a firm decision on the way forward for GIA,” he said.
